The Great North has all the desertic beauties and warm waters to enjoy your holidays.

It has incredible natural resources, an amazing native flora and fauna with a colorful landscape and excellent weather conditions.

In the area you can find chululos, vizcachas, vicuñas, flamencos, ñandus, culpeo foxes, andes seagulls, condors, alpacas, llamas, taguas, wild ducks and huaycos. It has a vegetation with tamarugos, queñoas, llaretas, water tolas, paja brava, cachiyuyos and breas.

Its ideal weather conditions, allow the tourist to visit the region during the whole year and enjoy the ecotourism and sport activities. Lauca National Park is one of the perfect places for this.

The zone is a witness of the prehispanic cultural evolution, mainly the Inca culture. Today, it's possible to find aymaras and atacameñas population, a cultural attraction.

The Catholic Celebrations are another charm of the zone. La Tirana, La Candelaria of Copiapo and Fiesta del Carmen in Los Loros, among others, are another attraction for tourist around the world.

San Pedro de Atacama (Chilean archaeological capital) invites the tourists to know the cultural development. Examples of that are the San Lorenzo Pukara and the Pintados, Sagrado y Sombrero hills geoglifos. In the other hand, the Morro de Arica and the former offices of Humberstone are some of the icons of our national history.

The area has an unique relief in the world, with volcanoes, salars, lagoons, rivers, springs and geysers.

The oasis in the middle of the desert are another wonderful attractions, with tamarugos forest and tropical fruits, in a landscape surrounded by volcanoes and mountains.

However, the agricultural activities are developed in tha Azapa, Lluta and Codpa Valleys.

The zone also includes the beauty of the flowery desert in the third region, an extraordinary phenomenon that happens every 3 or 4 years. Besides, you can access to the Chuquicamata Mine, the biggest mine of the world.

The Great North has important turban centers, with a great tourist equipment. The Zona Franca is the right place to get different products to low prices.

To have a great time in family, the warm waters and small waves are the perfect place. Chinchorro, Cavancha, mejillones, Hornitos and Inglesa Bay Beaches are the ones. The zone offers a great architecture, with andes and neoclasical constructions.
