Know Chungara Lake

Surrounded by unique fauna and located in the highlands, the Chungara Lake is one of the main attractions of Lauca national Park. It has an extention of 21,5 squared kilometers, and it´s an ideal place for outdoor activities and nature contemplation because of its rich topography. The lake has 33 meters of depth, and is sorrounded by land and mountains, that are home to alpacas, traucas, vizcachas, guanacos, vicuñas, pumas, llamas and foxes. There are also typical birds like the Chilean flamingo, yeco, guallata, ñandu, puna partridge, condors, the giant tagua and the small jergon duck.
