Itinerary

Day 01: Calama Airport - San Pedro de Atacama / Moon Valley
Reception at the Calama Airport and transfer to the town of San Pedro de Atacama, to the chosen hotel. San Pedro de Atacama is regarded as the archeological capital of Chile.
By the afternoon, departure from the hotel heading Moon Valley (4:00 PM in summer and 3:00 PM in winter; summer season starts October 1). We will continue through the way on the Salt Mountain Range, where we will take a detour in order to get to know the beautiful valley, which was the old path where the sulfur was transported from San Pedro de Atacama.
Here we will appreciate the Dinosaur Valley and the Death Valley, where we will enjoy an owe-inspiring panoramic view of the surrounding. We will continue to Moon Valley, where we will find geological formations, which are the consecutive result of the terrestrial surface. During the evening, the appearance of this place is a daring pallet, which will stun with its golden and red the soul and the sensibility of men.
Nineteen km Away from San Pedro, in the Salt Mountain Range, the Moon Valley is located, declared Natural Sanctuary and Natural Monument, protected due to its unique landscape. It is formed by a valley surrounded by small hills with impressive sharp-shape tops. This tour is a magical trip through landscapes, which not belong to our world, but they are a reflection of other planets. In this valley, we will appreciate the salt-made sculptures known as Las Tres Marías, formed by the wind erosion. We will visit the old salt sites where we will get to know the “sal gema”, mineral that looks like the quartz, and it is petrified salt belonging to the mineral deposit in some areas.
Following the excursion, we will make a hike through the interior of the remaining caves of the old deposits, in order to get closer to the Valley where the Great Duna is located. After a break, we will climb this Great Dune, which stuns due to its large size and it is place where extreme sports are carried out such as the snowboard. Later, we will enjoy the sunset in the Moon Valley, one of the most beautiful natural settings of the northern part of Chile.

Day 02: San Bartolo Trekking
After our breakfast at the hotel, we will departure at 8:00 AM to visit a breathtaking archeological site of Pukará de Quitor, ancient Inca fortress dating back 700 years, built in the 12th century and occupied by the Spanish conquistadores in 1540, located in a strategic hill and protected by a cliff by the river.
After visiting this incredible archeological site, we will enjoy a 4-hour trekking in order to discover the Catarpe Valley, place of paths scored by small water canals and rock-made formations. Then, we will get to the Grande River basin in order to testify its ancient petroglyphs, an unforgettable experience in inspiring landscapes. Return to San Pedro de Atacama at 2:00 PM.

Day 03: Atacama Biking to Cejar
Early in the morning, we will take the bike for a 4-hour adventure to visit the Cejar Lagoon, which is a place with three flooded salt domes. In the center of this place is located the Laguna de Piedra (Stone Lagoon) its waters contain great volume of salt and feature the floating effect providing a relaxing experience, everything completed by the stunning landscape of turquoise waters, volcanoes and the immensity of the Salt Flat.
Return to San Pedro de Atacama. Accommodation.

Day 04: Guatin Puritama Trekking
Departure from the hotel in San Pedro de Atacama at 8:00 AM. During this day we will enjoy a hike to discover the Guatin and Puritama Valleys. The Guatin Valley is also known as the Cactus Valley or the Cardones Gorge. Some of these tall cactus has more than one hundred years old and some of them reach 7 meters. Quite a show. This is the perfect place to walk and enjoy the unique landscape.
After than we will go to the Puritama Thermal Springs, a place where any effort will be rewarded. It is located 30 km north of San Pedro and it has puddle of thermal waters produced by the appearance of the hot water Puritama River. These puddles are located in a mountain canyon of a great natural beauty. These thermal springs are a hard to forget experience for thermal waters lovers in the middle of the desert.
The Puritama Thermal Springs is a beautiful place where we can rest, with a basic infrastructure made by dressing rooms, baths and wooden walkway, mixed with the vegetation.
Return to San Pedro de Atacama at 1:00 PM.

Day 05: Calama Airport – Puerto Montt – Puerto Varas
**We recommed: There is also the chance to return to Santiago staying one night in a hotel near the Airport for a better rest, continuing to Puerto Monnt the next day. (Not included)
Breakfast at the hotel in San Pedro de Atacama.
After that, according to your flight plan, transfer to the Calama Airport in order to take your flight to Puerto Montt.
Reception at the Puerto Montt Airport and transfer to the beautiful city of Puerto Varas, located by the bank of the Llanquihue River, a poem of rose bushes and architecture reflecting the German colonization. Enjoy a city tour through the cities of Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas.
We will begin our tour through one of the most beautiful cities, known as the City of Roses; Puerto Varas, which feature an atmosphere where German traditions live together with the Chilean culture, standing out the wood-made architecture, gastronomy and handcrafts. Here we will get to know the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Church and the Costanera Avenue. Our tour continues in the regional capital of the Lake District, city that has most of the fishing and business activity. Touring this city located on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, allows us to watch a panoramic view of its bay and the Tenglo Island. In Puerto Montt are located different tourist spots such as downtown and its cathedral and the seafood market, colorful place where we will be able to see the daily work of the fishermen, and the Handicraft Market of Angelmó with a varied range of products made of copper, wool, wood and lapis lazuli.

Day 06: Peulla Excursion with Accommodation
Early in the morning, after our breakfast, we will departure to Petrohué where the Andean Crossing pier is located. From this point, we will live the unforgettable experience of sailing the pure emerald waters of the Todos los Santos Lake. Among nature and volcanoes in the background, and waterfalls caressing the mountain, we will get to the rural town of Peulla located in the middle of the Andes. The beauty of Peulla lies in its virgin vegetation, its paths among mountains, its fields, forests and waterfalls worthy of being discovered. Here you will be able to enjoy a Horseback Riding in the Rigi Country State, located in the middle of beautiful landscapes, paths, mountains and streams.
Back to the hotel in Peulla. Accommodation.

Day 07: Peulla – Puerto Varas
We will wake up to enjoy a delicious breakfast and then experience the canopy among thousand-year forests, very close to your hotel.
Return through the Todos los Santos Lake to Petrohué where we will be transferred to our hotel in Puerto Varas.

Day 08: Puerto Varas – Puerto Montt – Punta Arenas – Puerto Natales
In the eighth day of adventire, after our breakfast, we will take a vehicle from our hotel to the Puerto Montt Airport where we will take the flight at the Punta Arenas Airport. Reception at the Punta Arenas Airport. Transfer through the Patagonian Pampa to Puerto Natales (3 hours).
Accommodation in Kau Lodge. Dinner and meeting to discuss the program.

Day 09: Mountain Bike in Puerto Natales
During this day, we will take the bycicle to experience a Patagonia we have never imagined before. We will start the tour at 10:00 AM in Puerto Natales where the transfer will be ready waiting for us for a 15-kilometer trip to the northern part of Última Esperanza. In this place, we will take the bycicle.
After the first 7 kilometer, we will find the beauty of Sofía Lagoon and the stunning Prat Mountain Range. Here we will stop for a snack before we experience 8 kilometers of a cross-country path where we will live the real and exciting sensation of the Mountain Bike.
Leaving behind the aforementioned Lake, we continue 4 kilometers more to the final point located in Silla del Diablo which was inhabited millions of years ago. Return to Puerto Natales. Accommodation in Kau Lodge.

Day 10: Torres del Paine National Park Trekking
08:00 hrs. Transfer to Torres del Paine National Park. This is a 2-hour trip in the middle of the Patagonian Pampa. Arrival in Torres del Paine.
We will start the trekking to Ascencio Valley from where we will watch the Ascencio River crossing the entire valley to Refugio Chileno. After a short stop here, we will continue walking through Lenga tree native forests to the beginning of the glacier moraine. From this spot, we will walk one hour through this moraine until we get the Torres viewpoint. Here we will watch the magnificent pink granite towers with its glacier lagoon, which give fame to this park. (7 hours trip, 19 km). Accommodation and dinner at Refugio Las Torres.

Day 11: Kayak in the Grey Lake
08:00 we will tour the National Park, passing by the Salto Grande where we will stop. After that we will croos the Pehoé Lake by catamaran. Walk by the charming Grey Lake (3-4 hours, 11 kms.) with inspiring view of the Grey Glacier and the icebergs. View from the glacier viewpoint in order to watch the quivering blue color of the icebergs.
Accommodation at Refugio Grey and lunch. From the base of the camp Big Foot located on the shores of the Grey Lake. Here the guides will give us the needed equipment for the excursion and a safety talk. After that, the kayak will be transport for 20 meters to the embarkation area. From this point the excursion starts, we will row surrounding the icebergs floating over the lake, and then we will head to the eastern arm of the Grey Glacier in order to enjoy the incredible scenario offered by the place. If climate conditions allow it, we will get closer to the bay to watch the glacier. Later, we will start the return to the starting point. Accommodation and dinner at the Refugio Grey.
Day 12: Ice Hikking in the Grey Lake
After the breakfast, guides will carry out an introduction talk where explain the tour, timing of the excursion and they will test the equipment for every passenger. Then, we will sail by zodiac boat during 15 minutes to the western arm of the Grey Glacier. Once we have arrived, we will disembark in the glacier’s island and start the walking over this island for an hour until we get the ice. Before we enter the glacier, the guide will make a safety talk, movement over the ice techniques and the correct use of the equipment. Once the talk has ended, the 3-hour exploration over the Grey Glacier will start, a moment to watch cracks on the ice, rivers, lagoons and tunnels with different shapes of light-blue. After this 3 hours over the glacier, we will return. After the lunch, we will board the Grey II with a 2-hour sailing throughout this magical lake, surrounded by glaciers. Transfer from the Lago Grey Hotel to Puerto Natales. Accommodation at Kau Lodge and dinner.

Day 13: Torres del Paine – Punta Arenas
