Hotel Vai Moana is located in the middle of Eastern Island, known as “the bellybutton of the world”, a place distant from the noisy cities of the continent and surrounded by the blue waters of the South Pacific. Actually, Vai Moana means “blue water” in the language of the natives of the island, known as Rapa Nui.

It is the first hotel of the island and a pioneer too, because it has been certified by the Institute of Tourism (affiliated with UNESCO) as a biosferic hotel. The certification acknowledges the effors made by the hotel’s management to keep the environment intact as well as promoting Rapa Nui turistically, keeping traditions intact and a responsible relationship with nature.

It has 18 rooms available: singles, twins, triples or suites, equipped for the comport all of visitors. Breakfast is included in the price, as well as the transfer from the airport to the hotel.

Vai Moana also offers typical food, which includes fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as fish and meat; international food with polinesic touches. The hotel has a restaurant and a bar, where you can enjoy daily meals or a drink after walking up and down the island all day.

Other services are car and bike rental, horseback riding trips, boat or jeep excursions, guided tours around the island, tourism and historic information about Rapa Niu; bar, laundry service and others. Tour guides can be done in spanish, english or french.

There are also more adventurous rides, where you can go to volcanoes and sacred places on the Island, on horseback or on foot, exploring caves and visiting unique places. It is possible to go underwater as well, diving in the underworld of the South Pacific.
