San Rafael exhibits marvelous topographic variety. Its sea fauna and channels, islands, snowcaps and fjords offer a great place for tourism.
The Northern Ice Field, San Rafael Lagoon and San Rafael Snowcap, are the favorite spot for national and foreing visitors because of their amazing landscapes and ecologycal biodiversity (Declared Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO).
Attractions
Because of its geography, the park was declared Biosphere Reserve. It has an attractive topographic and fauna resources –land and sea birds like black box albatros, black neck swans and huala ducks. Also, sea animals like the sea elephants, sea dog and tuna fish.

Hiking, mountain climbing, high mountain tours, snow trekking, mountain ski (randonne), sea kayak, flora and fauna contemplation, photography.

When to go?
January, February, March, April, September, October, November and December.
Climate
Humid. The annual media temperature is 5ºC. In the seashort, the rain is plentiful and the annual media is 3500 milimeters. In the high level the rain –as snow- gets to 5000 annual milimeters.
