Created in 1939, the park was a sacred place for the Mapuche people. It has 6.832 hectares filled with amazing flora and fauna, all protected by CONAF.
The Nahuelbuta National Park includes mountains that are located 1500 meters above the sea level.
Here, you can find pudues, pumas, and chilotes foxes, and an exhuberant vegetation of araucarias, oaks and coigües, among others.
The park is a scientific investigation center. Also, it features paths and camping zones.

From Angol: Land route, by Vegas Blancas.

When to go?
All year long.
Rainy, moderate weather. This weather features rain all year long; in the interior, the temperature oscillates between day and night time. In the high lands there´s a cold weather.
