Hotel Licarayen was founded in 1970. The proprietor wanted to offer her guests a first class service and built the hotel in front of the lake and volcanoes, a custom which has since been adopted by other hotels in the city.

All rooms have private bathrooms, cable television, direct dial out, central heating and hair dryers.
