Known for the Dungenes Lighthouse, Punta Dungenes is the most austral attraction in eastern continental Chile.

The place is in charge of ship customs, controling and registering all the ships coming in to the country by the Atlantic. Punta Dungenes combines beautiful landscapes and national history, featuring the first lighthouse constructed in the area, the same that works today.

Twelfth region. Located 120 kilometers southwest of Punta Delgada and 272 kilometers northwest of Punta Arenas.

How to get there?

Santiago-Punta Arenas: Airway.

Punta Arenas-Punta Dungenes: land route by Route 9 north. Then, take Route CH 255 and turn right at the 152 kilometer.

When to go?

All year long.

Climate

Cold moderate rainy weather, without dry season but with microclimates. The annual media temperature is 8°C, meanwhile during summer time the temperature goes from 10° to 18°C. The annual media rain is 450 milimiters.
