This destination is known for its marvelous natural resources, in the Laguna Laja National Park and in the Callaqui, Lonquimay, Villarrica, Copahue, Tolhuaca and Antuco volcanoes.

The araucaria forest and the waterfalls are the main attractions of the area.

The Andes valleys are another alternative for tourists. In them you will find springs, native population and handmade crafts, among others.

The gastronomy and the agrotourism are some activities you can enjoy in the region.

How to get there?

From the Seventh Region: Land route, by Route 5.

From Concepcion: Land route, by Route 148. Then take Route Q-45.

From Ninth Region: Land route, by Route 5 going north.

When to go?

All year long.

Climate

Moderate weather. In the shore, there is a warm moderate weather with rain during winter time and great humidity. In the interior, the temperature oscillates between day and night time. In the high lands there´s a cold weather.
