The worst: Estimados Les hago saber de la grande decepción que tuve en el Hotel Las Torres, en torres del Paine. Fue demasiado desagradable todo que sucedió. Realmente fue una grande decepción la recepción en este lugar. Nuestra llegada en el hotel las torres fue una grande pesadilla, la cual había elegido esta fecha del 27 octubre hasta 01 de noviembre del 2011, reservado desde de febrero 2011 hotel elegido para descansar, e además estaba enferma de mi cuello, por lo tanto el que más necesitaba era una excelente atención y tranquilidad, la cual no obtuvimos. En el principio el traslado hacia el hotel la persona que nos recogió, muy buena persona, cortés, muy caballero, atencioso. En la parada del Cerro Negro también muy agradable las personas, muy buena atención excelentes. Pero, ya en el hotel que nosotros pensábamos que ya la atención ha sido tan buena en el camino, esperábamos que en el hotel también pasaría lo mismo, pero nunca pasó eso. Para empezar llegamos muy cansados del viaje al hotel, salimos de Santiago a las 01:55pm, llegamos a Punta Arenas a las 05:15am, esperamos que nos fuera a recoger en el hotel Casino Dreams a las 10:00am un viaje muy largo. Al llegar al hotel la recepcionista que nos atendió llamada Dominique era nueva, se notaba que no tenía ninguna experiencia en el trato con las personas estaba muy perdida, porque estaba intentando hacer un llamado para alguien, pero nadie contestaba el llamado e lo cual tardó unos 20 a 30 minutos intentando una e otra vez, le preguntábamos quien nos podía atender, y lo único que decía era, esperen que estoy haciendo un llamado. Cómo puede una persona dejar un cliente esperar tanto tiempo después de un largo viaje como este, e una cola tremenda de fila de personas esperando atrás de nosotros, esperando que ella conseguirá completar el llamado para después nos atender, cuando lo único que ella podía haber hecho era atendernos primero para irnos a reposar de este largo viaje, y cuando ella tuviera su espacio hacer el debido llamado telefónico. Fue impresionante la sensación que tuvimos que estábamos como empleados de ella o del hotel, o que éramos unos cualquiera que no merecíamos respecto y ni la atención adecuada. Cuando por fin logró que se completara el llamado, nos atendió y tan poco se dio el lujo de mirar la reserva para saber de qué tipo de habitación habíamos reservado o se éramos chilenos o extranjeros, estaba tan desconectada que parecía un robot, mentalizada para otra gente de habla inglesa, diciendo a cada rato sus pasaportes, sus pasaportes, le preguntamos de que pasaporte estaba hablando. Se tuviera mirado la reserva había se dado cuenta que se trataba de chilenos. En el momento de entregar las llaves de la habitación, tomó todo su tiempo como 10 minutos mirando las llaves disponibles, agarró una cualquiera, sin saber que llaves tomar, nos entregó una llave de la habitación 48 dónde eran camas separadas por donde la ubicación tenía que pasar por un pasillo al aire libre e soportar el frio en el cuello por el camino, donde yo estaba enferma del cuello. Cuando llegamos en la habitación nos chocamos realmente con la falta de organización de este hotel en tener en esta persona como recepcionista, tuvimos que hablar con unas 2 personas para intentar solucionar el problema, porque nadie quería hacerse cargo por este mal rato que estábamos pasando. Mucho descontrol, mucha desorganización. Mi pareja, decidió ir a hablar con ellos para apurasen, porque estábamos muy cansados o tenían que devolver nuestro dinero, fue cuando tomaron la decisión de pasarnos una suite matrimonial con jacuzzi, lo cual esto tardó como casi 2 horas para decidieren a entregarnos una habitación matrimonial nº 47, una reserva hecha y solicitado ya mucho tiempo en el período del comienzo del año en el mes de febrero. Por lo tanto, esto ya debía estar todo listo. Esta tal habitación con jacuzzi funcionó solamente 2 días, porque cuando regresamos a la pieza, tenían unos técnicos sacando una piezas y la dejaron inhabilitada, diciendo que el problema era por un tapón, realmente era una mentira muy tonta, porque estaba normal la jacuzzi, de ahí inventar un problema para no usar más este equipo, fue tremendamente de cabro chico esta declaración del problema encontrado, cuando la jacuzzi estaba funcionando perfectamente. A nosotros no nos interesaba una jacuzzi, porque el que fuimos en busca fue de descansar, relajar, pasarlo bien, se quisiéramos con jacuzzi, habíamos hecho la reserva con este tipo de artefacto, pero el más importante que estábamos buscando era el ambiente de paz, tranquilidad. La ubicación era muy mala de la habitación, no se podía dormir porque el segundo piso habían hospedes que pasaban toda la noche haciendo ruidos, caminando fuerte, corriendo, moviendo muebles, ruido del baño, parecía que estábamos viviendo una verdadera pesadilla, el techo con cero aislación de ruido. Las mucamas, se olvidaban de dejar las toallas, shampoo, jabón mucha irresponsabilidad. El computador que dejamos en la pieza estaba encendido como se hubiera sido ocupado. Se dan cuenta de la comodidad que este hotel nos entregaron? Tener que a cada rato llamar por toallas, cuando esto es el mínimo que podían hacer bien en un servicio de hotel, en un hotel más sencillo que este no se pasa este tipo de acontecimientos. Las comidas funcionaban cuando había buffer, porque era rápido uno se atendía sólo, pero cuando era a la carta, pasábamos 2 horas para nos atender, y traer la comida, como uno puede sentirse bien en uno ambiente así. Todo el ambiente del hotel giraban en torno de la propina, todo que se hacía tenía que pasar propina, es extremamente ridículo el concepto que tiene este hotel de sólo atender bien a la persona que le pasa propina a cada rato. La propina uno tiene que ganársela con la buena atención del principio al fin, no obligar a uno pasarle plata si no hay una buena atención. Lo correcto es al final de la hospedaje uno entregar una propina general para el hotel, lo cual debía ser dividido entre ellos, se realmente la atención fue buena, uno por cuenta propia hacer el abono que se juzgue adecuado. Este es mi reclamo de la pésima atención recibida en este lugar, lo cual jamás he de indicar para nadie. Hasta hoy no he recibido ninguna disculpa por parte de nadie de este hotel, para que vean la calidad del servicio. Meals were working when buffer, because it was quick attended only one, but when I was a la carte, we spent 2 hours to attend, and bring food, as one can feel good in an environment like that. The whole atmosphere of the hotel revolved around the tip, everything that had to happen did tip, it is extremely ridiculous the concept that this hotel is just take good care of the person who tipped happens all the time. The tip you have to earn it with good attention from beginning to end, not to force a pass if there is money good care. The right thing is the end of the housing to deliver a general tip for the hotel, which was to be divided among them, attention was really good, a self make the payment as deemed appropriate. The best: The location of the Hosteria Las Torres is very convenient for day-long excursions in the park. Many activities and tours are proposed from the hotel, in particular horseback riding. The rooms are clean and nice, and our room did not have a TV (this is really a good point for me!). There is free wifi internet everywhere, useful to check the weather forecast. The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is very good. We did not try the restaurant, but the menu looked quite good. Our family (2 adults, a 4 yo girl and a 6 months baby) visited the TdP park in August, and this was a dream: marvelous landscapes covered with fresh snow, no wind at all for several days (less than 10 km/h), and... a lot of sunshine ! But I guess we were lucky... The hosteria Las Torres was the only hotel open in august in the park. There are many practical services at the hotel (fuel, mechanical workshop,...), that is actually similar to an estancia due to the presence of several tens of horses.

The worst: Of course, the price of the rooms is rather high in summer, but in winter, they are much lower and actually quite competitive (hence the 4* value rating). The last section of the road to access the hotel is rather bumpy, and there is a very narrow bridge to cross.
