Itinerary
Santiago, a striving and cosmopolitan city, has its historical side, a side with classic architecture and corners reflecting the cultural legacy of the native people and the Spanish conquer. Corners of literature, culture and nature intermingle in a program which will lead you to know part of the life of the poet Pablo Neruda and the natural beauties surrounding the city.
Itinerary:
Day 01: Airport Santiago - Santiago - Isla Negra - Algarrobo - Santiago
Transfer from the Santiago Airport to your hotel. The tour begins from the hotel toward the Pacific Ocean coastal area, arriving in the famous beach town of Algarrobo where you will find a quiet and beautiful landscape with inspiring views of several beaches. Here we will enjoy a lunch in a typical Chilean-style gastronomy restaurant in the Algarrobo. After lunch we will continue the route reaching “Isla Negra” town, the favorite place of the poet Pablo Neruda. Here we will be able to admire, among other things, the collection of seashells and large prow masks belonging to his lifetime collection. Moreover, you will enjoy a wine tasting in the one-hundred-year Undurraga Vineyard, a pleasure for wine lovers in regular service. Return to Santiago.
Day 02: Santiago - Andes Mountain Range - Santiago
IMPORTANT: THURSDAY ONLY. After your breakfast in the hotel we will head to the stunning Andes. 25 kms away from Santiago we will find the Yerba Loca Sanctuary.We will enjoy a half day tour with traditional muleskinners or herds of the mountains which will lead us throughout the sanctuary in a marvelous horseback riding. They will lead us and, through their tales, will provide us a glimpse of the lifestyle in the Andes. We will return to Santiago at 2:00 pm approximately totally renew after an experience with nature and Chilean countryside roots. We recommend sunglasses, trekking shoes, hat, camera and backpack.
Day 03: Santiago / Santiago Airport
Breakfast at the hotel. At the previous agreed time, transfer to the Santiago Airport.
