Wonderful trip to Petrohué Falls, where we can see how the river of that name jumps between huge masses of hardened lava of the Osorno volcano.
Itinerary
Realization: October 15th to March 14th.
Duration: Full day.
Starting point: Puerto Montt (09:05 hrs) or Puerto Varas (09:45 hrs).
We start our journey bordering Lake Llanquihue across the southern rim. We will have the opportunity to learn something of German colonization and agriculture that takes place in the area. Once at the Vicente Perez Rosales National Park visit the world famous Petrohué Falls. After arrival to the origin of this river, on Lake Todos los Santos and visit the beaches of volcanic origin. Then, towards the foot of Osorno Volcano, we stop at the Villa Ensenada where we will have time for our lunch (not included) so we can continue to the Ski Center of Osorno Volcano. On the trip will appreciate the valley of the River Petrohué and Lake Llanquihue.
We begin our trip from the city of Puerto Varas, bordering Lake Llanquihue, in the way we will know the mouth of Fish River, the towns of La Poza and The Cliffs, to Ensenada, a small town is known for offering typical local products. We enter the Vicente Perez Rosales National Park, heading to the field of Petrohué River Falls, walk through the various gateways and watch as the river jumps between large masses of hardened lava, formed by eruptions of Volcán Osorno, we have a spectacular view of beautiful color turquoise waters and tranquility of their surroundings. We end our tour at the famous Lake Todos los Santos.
