In a virgin and still unexplored landscape with plains, rivers, mountains and fiords you will find Hacienda Tres Lagos (Three Lakes Estate) located between glaciers, ice fields, volcanoes, caverns, waterfalls, snowdrifts and cold forests.

Itinerary

The Hacienda owes its name to a privileged location between the lakes: "General Carrera", "Black" and "Bertrand", which we preserve and protect to allow our guests to enjoy the experience of being in an unchanged environment. The Hacienda is a beautifully built place respecting the ecosystem of flora and fauna of one of the purest destinations in our world.

The Hotel Hacienda Tres Lagos is located in the Ayséns region of Patagonia in Chile, 274 km south of Coyhaique, the region’s biggest urban center, and at 220 km from the airport Balmaceda.

The hotel’s design, architecture and decoration are rustic, rural and at the same time elegant, respecting the local integrity. The extent of its territory in perfect coordination with the environment allows distributing 20 rooms of high quality. This way, our guests can interact with the nature in a quiet and private environment, enjoying the warmth of the service offered by Hacienda Tres Lagos.


Facilities:

The hotel features two restaurants: the “Parador Austral” of international cuisine (local products) and the “Quincho Patagónico”, specialized in local cuisine. Furthermore, you can find a games room featuring a ping-pong table, a mini football table, a pool table or American billiards, a table for card games or others, cross bow, telescopes, an bird observatory, musical instruments, a library, a cafeteria, view points, cable TV, Internet (Wi FI), a projection room and a spa on the lake shore with saunas, massage, Jacuzzi and dressing rooms.

Outdoors: 900 mts. canopy, trekking, hiking, rafting in Baker river, horseback riding, paddle boats on lakes or boat ride from our piers. Rappel, Snorkeling and flyfishing, among other.

Day 01: Transfer to the Hotel & boat trip on Lake Negro

From the airport of Balmaceda we will take you through a breathtaking landscape to the South with a short stop at the viewpoint of Cerro Castillo where you can enjoy a spectacular panorama of the Valley Río Ibáñez. Here you will also enjoy a delicious lunch in a typical restaurant.

Arriving at the hotel, we will be awaiting you with a welcome drink and depending on the arrival time you will go for a boat ride on the Negro Lake.

During this trip you will get to know the scenic surroundings of the hotel. At night you will enjoy a dinner based on the best ingredients of the region, which will surely be a perfect end after a long, but exciting day.

Day 02: Explorers Valley and Marble Cave

Through the scenic Southern Highway you will travel in direction North to visit the incomparable Marble Caves which are a unique phenomenon in the world.

During a boat ride over the crystal-clear emerald waters of the Lake General Carrera you will be able to admire stony formations which the effects of wind and water turned into admirable solid marble structures with different colours and characteristics over time, a unique and unforgettable spectacular.

Passing the cozy village of Puerto Tranquilo, you will enter the Explorer´s Valley where you can discover a landscape of wide variety and extraordinary beauty.

A breathtaking virgin flora along the road reveals ancient woodlands, emerald lakes, turbulent rivers and tremendous glaciers until you reach the highest peak of the Patagonia – the famous Monte San Valentín which marks the beginning of the enormous Northern Icefields.
Once back at the hotel, you will savor a delicious dinner.

Day 03: Horseback riding to the viewpoint “Four Lakes”

Enjoy one of the most beautiful views over the four impressive lakes around the Hacienda Tres Lagos during a horseback ride which reaches a altitude of 750 m.

You will reach the viewpoint “Four Lakes” along ancient paths through native woods of Lenga, Ñires and Coihues from where you can enjoy an unforgettable view over the lakes General Carrera, Negro, Plomo and Bertrand. To the West you will be able to observe the beginning of the impressive Northern Ice Fields while enjoying a tasteful lunch before returning to the Hacienda.

Day 04: Tamango National Reserve

Along the legendary Southern Highway you will pass countless natural beauties, such as the confluence of the river Baker with the river Nef. You will observe an incomparable spectacular, because this is the place where the biggest flowing river of Chile confronts the waters of the Nef.

Shortly after the village Cochrane you will reach the National Reserve Tamango, a one of a kind and especially picturesque spot.
After a delicious lunch in a lovely setting, you will start a walk through virgin forests where you can admire with a little bit of luck the rare so called “Huemules” – beautiful deer which are symbol of Chile and protected because of danger of extinction.

As usual, on arrival back to the Hacienda, dinner will be awaiting you, having the chance to taste typical products of the zone such as lamb, beef, pheasant, rabbit, hares, wild boar, salmon, etc.

Day 05: Return to the Balmaceda airport

Depending on the time of your flights departure, after breakfast or lunch, you will be brought to the airport under the same comfortable conditions offered on arrival. Once again, you will be accompanied by our guides offering all the attention you may need.
