The Lodge
In Mallin Colorado Ecolodge, you will be welcomed by members of the Christensen Family through their direct and personal attention, to an intimate and relaxing environment. A member of the family will pick you up in Balmaceda and attend to you throughout your stay. All programs are designed for you to disconnect from your daily routine, turn over the responsibility to us, and leave you with only these concerns: to enjoy yourself, relax, and appreciate the things offered to you by the people and natural surroundings of this mythical corner of the earth.
We consider every detail to be sure that your stay will be a time to escape the noise of the modern world and reconnect with you inner being in an astonishing natural environment.
Family oriented attentiveness and isolation combine to make this a perfect place to meet the wild and untouched natural surroundings head on. You can choose from a variety of activities, all of which are accompanied by an expert guide. Mallin Colorado is the headquarters for exploring the local paradise that is Patagonia. You can appreciate the profound natural beauty of Patagonia by covering with us its essentially unexplored territories.
Starting point: Balmaceda Airport.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Balmaceda - Mallin COlorado Ecolodge.
Reception at Balmaceda Airport and transfer to Mallin Colorado, 240 km from the airport. Lunch on behalf of the passengers on Cerro Castillo and excursion to marble cathedrals near Puerto Tranquilo. Reception at Mallin Colorado Ecolodge. Dinner and lodging.
Day 2: Mallin Colorado Ecolodge.
Breakfast in the clubhouse. Walk or ride to the Mallin Colorado Lagoon through native forests of Coigüe and beech, with excellent vantage points to the glaciers of the Cordon Contreras. Lunch on behalf of the passengers. Free afternoon to rest. Dinner and overnight in cabins in Mallin COlorado.
Day 3: Mallin COlorado - Tortel.
Breakfast and transfer to Tortel immediately, passing through Puerto Bertrand, Baker River, confluence with the Nef and Cochrane. Cochrane Lunch at own account. Following the trip to Tortel. Dinner. Family accommodation in Tortel.
Day 4: Tortel - Villa O´Higgins.
Breakfast and free morning in Tortel. After lunch on behalf of each, exit to Villa O'Higgins, taking a 45 minute ferry Puerto Yungay. Arrival at Villa O'Higgins, dinner and overnight in cabins.
Day 5: Villa O´Higgins.
Breakfast and full day excursion to the glacier O'Higgins. Return to the cabins, dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Villa O´Higgins - Mallin Colorado.
Breakfast and transfer to Mallin Colorado. Lunch on behalf of each in the town of Cochrane and continuation of the journey north. Dinner and overnight at the cabins.
Day 7: Mallin COlorado Ecolodge.
Breakfast and free morning. After lunch, boat ride on Lake Bertrand, return to Mallin Colorado, dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Chile Chico - Coyhaique.
Breakfast and day trip to tour the city of Chile Chico. Back to Mallin Colorado. (Depending on the times of the ferry from Puerto Ibanez to Chile Chico, the tour continues to Coyhaique this day).
Day 9: Mallin Colorado - Balmaceda.
Breakfast. Transfer to Balmaceda airport for flight back.
End of services.
