Tour: Wonders of General Carrera Lake with Jet Boat

Regular departures: Every twesday and fridays between November and March.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Balmaceda / Coyhaique - Terra Luna.(In)

Departure from Coyhaique or reception at Balmaceda airport. We follow the Austral road to Puerto Guadal. On the way, we do a boat excursion (if possible) to the “Capilla de Mármol”, fantastic maze of caves drawed by the millenary waves of the lake. Arrival to Puerto Guadal. Welcome drinks and overnight in Terra Luna lodge on the shore of Lake General Carrera.(L,D)

Day 2: Terra Luna

Full day in the area of Puerto Guadal where you can enjoy several excursions (Baker river, lakes fossils, glaciers, etc.) and activities like trekking, mountain biking, horse back riding, fishing, etc.(B,L,D)

Day 3: Terra Luna - Lake Leones on board the Jet Boat "The Glacier Connection"

Breakfast. Departure from Puerto Guadal. Navigation on Lake General Carrera to the outlet of the Leones River. We travel for 40 mins up the Leones River and then walk for about 30 mins to reach Lake Leones. We travel by zodiac on Lake Leones toward the spectacular terminal face of the Leones Glacier, where we can observe the 3 separate branches of the glacier calving into the lake. Lunch in front of the glacier with the traditional “whisky on the rocks”. Once back at the boat we will travel back to Purto Guadal (may be by vehicle, depending on Lake conditions). Back to the lodge. Dinner in Terra Luna.(B,L,D)

Day 4: Terra Luna - Balmaceda / Coyhaique (Out)

Breakfast in Terra Luna. Transfer to Balmaceda or Teniente Vidal (Coyhaique) Airport.(B)
