The city is an important administrative urban center, with an urban and tourist equipment and a great historical and cultural value.

Less than 100 kilometers from Temuco, Villarrica is one of the cordillera urban center with beautiful attractions like its museums, the Cathedral, the Historical Zone of Villarrica and the mapuche legacy.

A little bit of history.

Founded in 1552 by Pedro de Valdivia, the city only was habitated five years later.

Villarrica was destroyed in 1602 by the mapuches. Until 1916, the city was not a commune as part of the Chilean Culture.
