The south zone of the country is characterized by its beautiful island, amazing relief and changing weather conditions; its marvelous flora and fauna, and the fantastic tourist infrastructure (Springs, ski centers, national parks and reserves)

The eighth, ninth and tenth regions offer incredible attractions that you will only find here, because they have a great natural, historical and cultural vestiges thanks to the mixture between the Germans and the native population (mapuches).

There is a moderate weather by the coast with rains almost all year long. In the interior, there's a cold weather with solid rains.

The country's south can be visited during all year, but you need to know when the national parks and reserves are open.

Besides, the region has beaches and bathing resorts like Bio Bio, Calle Calle and Petrohue Rivers, Malleco, Villarrica, Caburga, Rupanco, Puyehue, Llanquihue and Todos los Santos lakes. Also there are high mountains like Nahuelbuta Cordillera, and the Tolhuaca, Llaima, Lonquimay, Antuco, Osorno and Villarrica Volcanoes.

In the other hand, this destiny has important urban center like Temuco, Villarrica, Pucon, Frutillar, Puerto Varas, Puerto Montt and Concepcion.

It has a singular architecture. In Chiloe Island there are churches that where built in the XVIII and XIX centuries.

The ecotourism, gastronomy and handmade crafts are important activities in the area.
