Itinerary
- Passengers should arrive at 06:30 am at José Nogueira # 1255, Punta Arenas to check in.
- After checking in, at the tour provider's office, we will begin this trip to an unforgiving place Located 32 km northeast of Punta Arenas, in the middle of the Strait of Magellan, Magdalena Island is a must for animal lovers, as it is home to the largest colony of penguins in the continental region.
- This island has been a protected area since 1982, when it was renamed "Los Pinguinos Natural Moment". It has an interesting ecosystem, with more than 60,000 pairs of penguins that come during the summer to reproduce and other types of birds, such as cormorants and Andean gulls.
- We will arrive at the island after a navigation of about 40 minutes. Once disembarked, you will have approximately one hour to walk around and take a picture.
- Visitors can complete the visit by arriving at the environmental interpretation center "El Faro", where information is provided about the history of the strait and the ecological richness of the islands.
