Description
- Ancestral Storytelling - Ancestral Medicine - Mapuche Cooking - Hiking Day program.
- The visitors and the local guide will meet at the Kurarewe square for the welcome and presentation of the program.
- The group will walk to the Trawupeyum Intercultural Village and the museum it houses. Here the instruments and compilations of Mapuche stories stand out.
- The route continues with the transfer to Machín Bajo where, around a fire and sharing a hot mate, a ñaña will talk about some of the knowledge she has about different aspects of the Mapuche culture.
- Lunch will be at a Mapuche cookery where you will be able to taste dishes made with products that the cooks themselves grow.
- The program will continue with a visit to a medicinal herb garden where a natural doctor will share her knowledge about some plants and their uses.
- To end the day, they will go to the field of a family of the Juan de Dios Ancamil Indigenous Community, where they will take a short walk along an interpretive trail through the temperate rainforest, characteristic of this area and that preserves, depending on the time of year, a large number of copihues.
