With amazing attractives, the Austral Route is the entrance to different places in the region, a concrete road that leads to smaller paths to small towns.

Built between 1970-1980, the Austral Route goes fromt Puerto Montt to Caleta Yungay. It invites the visitors to enjoy the native landscape.


National Parks and Reserves, springs, rivers and lagoons. Flora and fauna.


Hiking, trekking, high mountain tours, bicycle riding, horseback riding, sport fishing, rowing, birds watching, flora and fauna contemplation, photography.


Tenth and eleventh regions. Located 12 kilometers west of Puyuhaupi, 307 kilometers north of Coyhaique and 33 kilometers from of Puerto Cisnes.

When to go?

All year long.


Cold weather. The annual media temperature is 9ºC. The rain is plentiful all year -600 to 4000 milimeters per year-.
