Bandurria
It is usually 74 cms long, with yellowish feathers around its head and neck, black feathers around its throat, brown feathers on the crown and forehead, and reddish legs. It looks like a heron, flying with its neck extended up to the sky, and it also has a long black curved beak. Its eggs are white with small blue and brown dots.

- There are two kinds of Bandurrias in Chile: Theristicus caudatus melanosis, found from the Antofagasta to Tierra del Fuego; and Theristicus caudatus branicki, found in Parinacota.
- Habitat
- In open fields and valleys, they made nests on dry woods, rocky territory and islands in the middle of lakes.
