Copihue

The tree is about eight feet tall. Its flower is the country’s national flower, and it blooms as a climbing plant. Its leaves are dark green, very simple shaped. It blooms from March to May, and its flower is of an intense red that can be up to twenty inches long. Its fruit is an edible berry, and its root has curative properties.
