Know Maule Valley and Talca

Talca is an important urban center in the Chilean Central Valley. With great cultural legacy, this destination has historical monuments like the O´Higgins Museum, Fine Arts Museum and Huilquilemu Cultural Village. Chanco was declared Typical Zone, featuring beautiful colony architecture and handmade crafts. One of the major nature refuges is the Altos de Lircay National Reserve. Another attraction is the old train that used to go from Talca to Constitucion. There are great grey-sand beaches, where you can enjoy walks, springs, and the contemplation of natural attractions like volcanoes and lagoons.

  • How to get there:

    Land route, by International Route CH-115 to Altos de Lircay National Reserve.
    To the coast, take Route 5 south to San Javier. Then take Route M.30 to Constitucion. To Pellines take Route M-50. Also, you can get Los Conquistadores Highway to Cauquenes.
    To the coast: old train from Talca.
