Pumalin Nacional Park is a beautiful place, protected by the Chilean State to preserve the ecologycal enviroment.

A Douglas Tompkins project, this park -317.000 hectares- with a flora and fauna could easily become a Sanctuary of Nature soon.

Pumalin National Park, a private initiative with public access, invites you to enjoy guided visits and 3 hour walks where you can contemplate nature at its best form.


Ecologycal biodiversity and outdoor activities.


Sport fishing, bicycle riding, trekking, horseback riding, sea and river kayak, canoe, bird watching, flora and fauna contemplation, photography.


Tenth region. Located south of Hornopiren, 30 kilometers south of Caleta Gonzalo (which is located 60 kilometers north of Chaiten)

Santiago-Puerto Montt: Land route and airway.

Chaiten-Pumalin Park: Land route, by Austral Route R7

Puerto Chaiten-Ouerto Montt and Catamaran: Seaway by ferry –all year long-. During summer time only from Caleta Gonzalo to Hornopiren.
