Tour: Anti-Stress: Total nature in Fjord Queulat Lodge

It is a program for those wishing to complete disconnection and a cure from the stress of city life, based on learning to listen to mother earth and nature at its most pristine and original.

For this the Fjord Queulat Ecolodge don´t have satellite signal and Internet, cell phones do not work, either electronic or TV or anything that requires connection. It is the opposite of globalization and a return to simplicity and stillness and tranquility. Only live nature, the sound of waterfalls and water trickling under the Club House and in placid streams through the cabins. Every day the place is filled with water and then empty the play of the tides that rise and fall gently every six hours.

The program includes daily activities that are chosen according to the weather and the group, which will vary from day to day and require physical effort appropriate to the status of the participants.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Balmaceda - Queulat Park. (L,D)

Reception at Balmaceda airport for trips to Coyhaique (approximately 45 minutes). Travel Queulat Park on the Southern Highway (4 hours) and arrive at Queulat Fjord Ecolodge. Accommodation in cabins, recognition of the area, Queulat River and Fjord. Later dinner and briefing about the next day's activities.

Total rest, no noise except the sound of the waterfalls, wind and sea.

Day 2 and 3: Activities. (B,L,D)

According to the guide are selected to carry out activities from which you can choose:

• Hike to the hanging glaciers and Caesars (self-guided).

• Sea Kayak Navigation by Fjord Queulat.

• Wildlife Waterfall Hike with observation of flora and fauna.

• Hot Springs.

• Bird watching.

Day 4: Return to Balmaceda. (B,L)

Back to Balmaceda by the "Carretera Austral" (approx. 5 hours).

End of services.

Half-day activities Menu:

1.- Wildlife Waterfall Hike.

• The waterfall is 120 meters tall and comes to her penetrating through the heart of Chile's native forest. On the way we observe the curious Chucao and Hued Hued, plus large myrtles we can embrace.

• The tour is easy level to the foot of the waterfall and a half to level viewpoints.

• It takes about 3 hours if the circuit is complete, up to the waterfall and then returning to the beaches of the Fjord and the edge of Queulat river.

• Viewpoint 90 Meters.

2.- Hanging Glacier Tour, two alternatives, Iceberg or Moraine Lake.

• Includes a car ride 10 km. along the Fjord Queulat with beautiful scenery, and then enter the National Park.

• Visit to an interpretation center and then choose one of the two main paths: the Moraine which is 3.3 km. (RT) and takes about three hours with a rise of 200 meters of elevation to reach Moraine to the viewpoint of providing a spectacular view of the Hanging Glacier.

• The Iceberg Lake hike is a walk 1.2 km and takes 1 hour, in the lagoon operates irregularly¹ a CONAF boat with which you can navigate the lake and get closer to the glacier.

3.- Sea Kayaking Tour on the Fjord Queulat.

• The circuit comprises a gentle descent Queulat river to the sea. After rowing on the south side of the Fjord Queulat about 2.5 km., stopping at beautiful white sand beaches and enjoying the clear, pure waters of the Fjord Queulat.

• To return we calculate the rising tide of way to help with the push of the tide and leisurely enjoy the trip.

• There are 6 kayaks sit on top, wetsuits and more safety equipment. There are also a zodiac, to help or relay when the group exceeds 6.

4.- Enchanted Forest Glacier Hiking.

• You enter the park along the Southern Highway to the south, then up the hill Queulat with its 33 curves that give spectacular views of the Park, then traveled about 30 minutes (22 km from the lodge), makes a wonderful trekking path that penetrates the Enchanted Forest at 497 m.o.s.l.

• The path continues through a garden of mosses, lichens and beautiful trees without quila, allowing a unique view into the world of this type of forest. It rises up the hill to the edge of the vegetation is at 631 m.o.s.l., then continue on a path to the glacier lookout located 695 m.o.s.l.

• The trip takes 3 hours plus Hike and 1 hour in vehicle from the lodge, requires an acceptable physical condition and is recommended to combine it with an afternoon of spa.

5.- Puyuhuapi Hot Springs SPA (massages and SPA optional) or Termas Glacier.

• They are only 16 km from the Ecolodge and are very suitable for relaxing and enjoy after a hike that has claimed physical effort. SPA outdoor pools optional in this program.

6.- Fly fishing or spinning in Rio and Queulat Fjord, salmon and trout.

Fishing is carried out in waders in deep areas of the river or at sea. This can be done when the river level is low and permits to cross.

7.- Soft Queulat River Rafting.

It consists of a decrease of 6 km Queulat River, beginning in the Park Queulat upstream of the lodge and floating for about 2 hours at the beautiful River to the Lodge. The pond is professional rafting is for up to 4 people plus the guide. You can fish on the way or take photographs.

8.- Navigation Fjord Queulat to Isla Mona and Poya Huapi.

• In a barge cypress 8.6 meters in length, was sailing from the Fiord Queulat Lodge coming to Channel Puyuhuapi to land on the Isla Huapi or Mona Poya¹.

• The island has three beaches and a fantastic view of the Hanging Glacier. In the navigation is likely to observe dolphins, sea birds and wolves.
