5 must-see walks in autumn

Autumn is here and with it one of the best times of the year to travel. The weather is still pleasant (hot actually) and you can take advantage of low season offers. This, added to the fact that destinations are emptier than during the summer, makes March, April and even May a great opportunity to take the first break of the year.

For this reason, we have prepared a list with some ideal panoramas to enjoy the season of dry leaves, fresh air and longer nights:

Vineyard Tour: In Chile, autumn is Harvest time, and in addition to the various festivals that take place in connection with this celebration, you can also tour a vineyard of your interest and discover where one of the best wines in the world is grown. Maipo Valley with its famous cabernets, Casablanca, land of white wines, or boutique wines. You choose, there is something for everyone.

Healing waters: Throughout the country you can enjoy one of the most renewing experiences for body and soul: immersing yourself in the warm waters of the thermal baths. Here you can try the healing, dermatological and relaxing properties of the different minerals that emerge from the depths of the Andes Mountains.

Hiking: Also known as trekking. For nature lovers, these walks are ideal because they allow you to observe beautiful landscapes covered in yellows and ochers, learn more about the flora and fauna of the environment and disconnect from the city and worries. These walks can be done all over the country and there are different levels of difficulty depending on the physical conditions of the participants.

Historical tours: It is worthwhile to take advantage of the still warm but not hot weather to get to know a city and its main sites of interest. Museums, parks, squares, churches and much more, from Arica to Punta Arenas, including Easter Island, can be planned during the fall.

Look up: And take advantage of the fact that you are in the Astronomy Capital of the World. Our skies, especially those in the north, are considered the cleanest on the planet. And autumn brings a new spectacle to observe, with a deeper blue sky where you can enjoy the constellation Orion and several planets with the naked eye, including Jupiter and Mars. For stargazers, it is recommended to get a pair of binoculars. You will not regret it.
