Chile: Top destination of 2017

The charms of our country achieved this year the first place in the recommended destinations for travel around the world. While Brazil used to be the star of South America, it seems that it is the diversity of landscapes, areas and entertainment that has tipped the scales in our favor. The Telegraph highlights Chile' s 2650-mile length and is struck by its mere 150-mile width. This narrow strip of land hides hundreds of diverse ecosystems, biodiversity and unique topographies.

Our country has 36 national parks and for The Telegraph some of them are among what are considered the most extreme climates on earth: the Atacama Desert - the driest in the world - and Patagonia, almost entering Antarctica.

The British newspaper points out that despite this harsh climate and extreme temperatures, infrastructure and services are found in all the places you want to visit, including attractive and luxurious hotels. The point is for Chile.

Santiago, the coolest city in South America: Our capital is especially noted for the large number of new boutique hotels that stand out for their details and services and the top restaurants that have filled our streets. The great offer of wine tourism in Chile, in the valleys of Maule, Colchagua Valley or Casablanca Valley, has its own merit. Here we can find interesting accommodation options, tours for all tastes and the opportunity to enjoy premium wines less than two hours from the capital, with all the accesses and services available.
