Dientes de Navarino, a spectacular trekking tour
Southern Patagonia is the southernmost area of Chile and corresponds to the region of Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica. These are different tours that exist in each of the regions of our country and can be discovered throughout the year.
With this, we seek to promote the unexplored places of great beauty that Chile offers to its visitors, and thus get to know the rich cultural and natural heritage present in all our regions.
One of them is the Dientes de Navarino trekking, which takes place in the area of Puerto Williams, on Navarino Island. This is a different trip from Torres del Paine or Puerto Natales, two emblematic destinations in the Magallanes region, and allows you to observe landscapes of immense natural beauty and get to know this area better.
Like most of the trekking, it is recommended to do it in summer, since during the winter the snow on the road can exceed 30 cms. It is a trek of several days, highly demanding, with unpredictable weather where rain and wind predominate. However, the reward is the observation of unique landscapes and places that have not yet been explored. Walking along its path, you can observe the Beagle Channel, the Bandera and Gabriel hills and wonderful lagoons such as Guanacos and Laguna del Salto. To get to Navarino Island, there are two options, get a charter flight or get there by ferry from Puerto Williams.
It is an impressive 30-hour trip that is worth it for the scenic beauty and a unique adventure for nature lovers. If you want to know the rest of the Heritage Routes check here.
