Grey Lake, Espejo in Torres del Paine
Its waters are of glacial origin, and it is part of the Serrano river basin.
Its particular blue-gray color is due to the glacial silt content of its waters, which comes from the melting of the Grey glacier, which we can discover on the north shore of the lake. In turn, the glacier is fed by the waters of the great Southern Icefields.
One of the most beautiful walks that we can make in Torres del Paine is navigation in its waters, where we will find ice floes of various shapes, corresponding to detachments of the Grey glacier. In this excursion you will be able to arrive in front of the glacier wall, which corresponds to the last stretch of Campos de Hielo Sur.
In addition to this recreational navigation, other nautical activities such as canoeing and kayaking can be done in Grey Lake. We invite you to get to know this beautiful corner of Torres del Paine Park and live a different experience.
