One of the dreams of many is to visit Torres del Paine National Park. For this reason, we leave you with some places to visit and enjoy in the park during the fall.
1.- New hanging footbridge:
Since March 21, a spectacular walkway has been in operation. A hanging walkway that is located in the third gorge of the Paine Massif Circuit, near the Grey Glacier and the CONAF El Paso camp.
Torres del Paine Hanging Footbridge
It is 56 meters long and allows you to cross the mountain inside the park, offering wonderful landscapes.
Pehoe Lake:
The shores of Lake Pehoe are surrounded by a forest of lengas and coihues, so its viewpoints offer a wonderful spectacle during autumn. It also has a camping area to enjoy nature directly. In its surroundings there are beautiful circuits to visit: the mini trekking of Las Cornisas and the Salto Chico, an hour's walk away.
3.- French Valley:
This is one of the most beautiful places in Torres del Paine. From here a natural amphitheater is formed, surrounded by granite walls. The lengas fill the landscape with a thousand different colors in autumn.
The French Valley is at the heart of the W Circuit, a 4-day tour that allows you to walk through the most beautiful of Torres del Paine as Nordenskjold Lake, the Horns of Paine and the Base of the Towers.
4.- Viewpoint Cuernos del Paine:
It is one of the most impressive in the park. You will feel in the middle of the mountain and you will be able to observe the beautiful surroundings. From here you will also see the Salto Grande, the spectacular union of the waters of Lake Pehoe and Lake Nordenskjold in a large waterfall and the French Valley.
5.- Nordenskjold Lake:
In front of the emerald waters of Lake Nordenskjold you can enjoy the beauty of the Paine Massif reflected in its waters. In the distance, you can also appreciate the Southern Ice Fields, with their eternal glaciers.
One last recommendation
Dedicate more than three days to visit Torres del Paine Park. The weather in Patagonia is changeable and extreme, don't be fooled. There are days when the Cuernos can appear covered by a cloud, so count on several days to be able to take all its wonders in your photos and memories.
Several layers of clothing and a waterproof jacket, plus gloves, hat, appropriate shoes, lots of desire, energy and yes... patience, are mandatory requirements for your adventure in Chilean Patagonia. We hope you enjoy it!
