Description

It is designed to offer a full-day experience. We start the activity at 6:00 a.m. and return to the Coyhaique area around 8:30 p.m. Visitors are picked up from their accommodation. We head to the Marble Caves Natural Sanctuary, located on Lake General Carrera, 233 km from Coyhaique. The journey to Puerto Tranquilo takes approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes.

Itinerary

06:00 – Pick-up of our tourists from their accommodations.
06:30 – Start of the tour towards the Marble Caves Sanctuary.
07:45 – Arrival at Cuesta del Diablo viewpoint, a privileged spot to admire the imposing Cerro Castillo.
08:25 – Arrival at Villa Cerro Castillo (Copec service station for restroom use and to purchase travel supplies, 15 minutes available).
08:40 – Departure from Villa Cerro Castillo towards our second stop, Río Ibáñez Viewpoint.
09:00 – Arrival at Río Ibáñez Viewpoint, a scenic spot where you can see a chain of snow-capped mountains and, below, the winding Río Ibáñez—a perfect place for photography (15 minutes available).
09:20 – Start of the direct journey to Lake General Carrera. Note: after 5 km the pavement ends, continuing 100 km on a gravel road.
11:00 – Arrival at Puerto Tranquilo
11:30 – Boat tour of the Marble Caves Sanctuary (approx. 1 hour 30 minutes)
13:00 – Lunch at a local restaurant (please inform in advance if vegetarian options are required)
14:00–15:00 – Free time to explore Puerto Río Tranquilo
16:00 – Return to Coyhaique
18:30 – Arrival at Villa Cerro Castillo for restroom break
20:00 – Arrival in Coyhaique
