Lasana Pucara

Know Lasana Pucara

Built by the atacameños in the 12th century, the Lasana Pukara is what's left of a fortress (250 meters long) with an amazing construction technique. It was made of rock, with 110 structures built into it, turning it into a big construction with narrow interior paths. The houses vary in size; and the biggest had five wide rooms. All the houses had two kinds of cellars (mainly for food) built in the backyards.
