Built by the atacameños in the 12th century, the Lasana Pukara is what's left of a fortress (250 meters long) with an amazing construction technique.
It was made of rock, with 110 structures built into it, turning it into a big construction with narrow interior paths. The houses vary in size; and the biggest had five wide rooms.
All the houses had two kinds of cellars (mainly for food) built in the backyards.
Anchaeological and anthropological interest zone.
Second region. Located 10 kilometers northeast of San Francisco of Chiu Chiu, 45 kilometers northeast of Calama and 258 kilometers northeast of Antofagasta.
