With 970 hectares, Parrillar Lagoon National Reserve is located 50 meters away from the regional capital, with different species of trees, herbs and bushes for you to discover.

Located between the 300 and 650 meters above sea level, the birds and the mammals in the reserve are another attraction of the area.

The reserve has rivers and lagoons that allow visitors to enjoy aquatic sports during the summer season.

How to get there?

Santiago-Punta Arenas: Airway.

Punta Arenas-Bulnes Fortress: Land route, Route 9 North.

Bulnes Fortress-Parrillar Lagoon National Reserve: Land route, Route 9 North.

When to go?

January, February, March, April, September, October, November, December.


Cold high weather. The annual media temperature is 12°C and -3ºC. The rain surpasses the 2000 milimiters per year, and they are generaly as snow.

Froward Cape, Punta Arenas cementery, de la Cruz Hill, Pali-Aike cave, El Salto, Magellian Strait, San Isidro lighthouse, Bulnes Fortress, Pali-Aike National Park, Punta Arenas, Magallanes National Reserve, Otway Inlet.


Entrance is $1000 Chilean pesos for adults. The entrance is free for kids until 12 years old.
