Upon arrival, reception at Balmaceda Airport and transfer to Coyhaique, the regional capital and starting point of our Patagonian adventure. Depending on the arrival time, lunch or dinner will be served. Overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast. Departure along the Southern Carretera Austral, one of the most beautiful scenic routes in the world. Along the way, the impressive Cerro Castillo and its National Park dominate the landscape. Nature reveals itself at every turn, and it is not uncommon to spot native wildlife such as gray foxes or huemuls. Arrival in Puerto Tranquilo, where we will begin our navigation to the famous Marble Chapels, Caves and Cathedral. For approximately 1.5 hours, we will explore these incredible geological formations on the turquoise waters of General Carrera Lake, one of the most iconic excursions in Patagonia. Lunch at a local restaurant and return to Coyhaique. Overnight.
Breakfast. Today we travel to Puerto Chacabuco, following the beautiful Simpson River Valley, which is of glacial origin. We will make panoramic stops at Marchant Lookout, ideal for capturing one last postcard of Coyhaique, and at La Virgen Waterfall, a beautiful natural spot. Arrival, check-in and dinner at the hotel in Puerto Chacabuco.
Breakfast. Early in the morning, we board the catamaran bound for the impressive San Rafael Lagoon, one of the natural jewels of Chilean Patagonia. We will sail through fjords, channels and islands covered with lush native vegetation, where forests meet the sea in an unforgettable spectacle. Aboard the Aysén or Chaitén catamaran, we will travel approximately 125 nautical miles until reaching the glacier, at the foot of Mount San Valentín, where enormous icebergs break away and drift into the lagoon. An awe-inspiring and truly unique experience. Return to Puerto Chacabuco, overnight stay and dinner at Hotel Loberías del Sur.
