Transfer Calama Airport - Hotel San Pedro de Atacama
Moon Valley Tour
Lodging San Pedro de Atacama

Reception and transfer to San Pedro de Atacama from Calama Airport. In the afternoon, departure from the hotel to the Moon Valley (15:30 hours in summer and 14:30 hours in winter, subject to confirmation). If you come to San Pedro de Atacama, you can not miss this unique place in the world, the Valley of the Moon, in the middle of the deep aridity of the Cordillera del Sal we find a landscape of salt and clay molded by water and wind over millions of years. On our tour we will visit the Tres Marias, the Canyon, the Duna Mayor and the Amphitheater for the extravagant forms that the mountain range gives us, inciting the imagination and reflection for its tranquility. As the afternoon passes, we will go to the viewpoint of Kari (Piedra del Coyote) to enjoy one of the best views of the Valley of the Moon, to finally finish watching the sunset that through its colors gives us a wonderful end to our tour. Return to the hotel. Lodging.

Departure at 08:30 am from the hotels.In this excursion, we will visit Piedras Rojas (Red Stones) located in the Tara Salt Flat with its fascinating and beautiful red-colored landscape, remarked by its owe-inspiring geological formations born from the rusting of the iron. After that, we will go through the path to the Altiplano in order to visit the Miscanti and MiÃ±iques Lagoons, located more than 4,200 meter above the sea level and surrounded by great and imposing volcanoes from the Andes Mountain Range and flora and fauna in their natural environment. We will continue to Chaxa Lagoon, a scenery and beautiful landscape, divided into several water mirrors where a great number of flamingoes and other birds such as Andean Flamingoes. Finally, before we return, while the landscape features marvelous views of the Licancabur and Lascar Volcanoes, we will visit Toconao with a tyPical colonial architecture, San Lucas Church, the first National Monument. Return to San Pedro at 4:00 pm approximately.

Departure during the early morning from hotel in San Pedro de Atacama (05:30 hrs. Pick up at 05:00, subject to confirmation) We will head towards the Tatio Geysers. Our trip to the altiplano begins during the early morning to finally reach one of the most important geothermal fields in the world, the "Geisers del Tatio", surrounded by water and steam emanations we will enjoy the beauty of the Andes and with this natural scenery we will offer you a replenishing breakfast. Then we will visit the "Pozon Rustico" where you can enjoy the hot springs that the mountain range gives us. Taking the road back to San Pedro de Atacama you will be able to enjoy the beauty of the landscape, native flora and fauna and finally from a viewpoint we will observe the town of Machuca, place of ancestral llama shepherds. We will observe the flora and fauna of the Putana River such as Vicuñas, llamas, rheas, vizcachas, flamingoes, ducks and seagulls. Transfer to the airport.

The tour I received was very good. It would have been better if the tour information I received would have told me to bring my bathing suit so I have an option to enjoy the hot spring at the Tatio Geyser.

I think the tour group should take a look at their logistics. I met 3 other English speakers (who were staying very close to me) on day 2 of my tour and we all thought we will be in the same tour the following day to the Tatio Geyser

My last tour (including the tours, hotel and guides) were all excellent. The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly and the places visited were beautiful.

Maybe indicate when the tours end as well as when they start.

Gianina, your agent, handled it in a very professional way, and tried to do the best for us. Over all, we had a good time in Chile & most guides were really good & took interest in explaining in details. Some were not very fluent in English.

Also, could have better English speaking agents for US customers. Had some miscommunications due to that. We usually like to book our own hotels decide tours as per your given itinerary. More like customized some may be private or in group tours. In the process, some things were misinterpreted.
