Know Surire Salt Lagoon

Located in the Lauca National Park, The Surire Salar Lagoon has amazing flora, fauna and topography around it. It has an extension of 14858 hectares, and it´s an ideal place to practice outdoor activities. In the lagoon you can find three species of flamingos (Chilean, James and Big Parina) as well as native vegetation paja brava, vicuñero grass, chachacoma, llaretilla and totora. The lagoon was declared Natural Monument years ago, and around it you can see the Oquealla Hill, found 4322 meters above sea level.

    Anywhere-Arica: Airway and Seaway (Carlos Ibañez del Campo Port)
    Arica-Putre: Land route, by International Route CH-11 Arica- Tambo Quemado (Bolivia), then take Route A-235 and Route A-31.
