Surfing

It's ride waves in an special board. It requires a sea movement knowledges to practice this sport.

History

It's origin came from the Polinesia. In the XVIII century the surf, as an sport, was born.

In 1920, the hawaiian Duke Kahanamoku formed the first club in Waikiki.

Fifty years later, was founded the Surf International Comitee in Palm Beach.

In Chile

Chile has ideal beaches and water to practice this sport. There are beaches with small and giant waves in the north. The water temperature goes from the 15º to 20ºC. Estar Island is only for professionals.

Basic Aspect

It is necessary know control techniques and safety basic norms. You need an excellent physical condition and equilibrium.

Also, you need to respect the nature, know how to swim and avoid danger waves.
