Chile's telephone system is efficient. You can find public telephone booths in every city, and they all work for national and international calls.

There are also special stores that offer private telephone booths, internet access and selling of telephone cards for public phones or cellphones.

All telephone companies use carrier, a number that goes before the country number and that identifies what company you are using to make the international call. Every company has a different price, depending on the place you're calling.

To make international calls, you need to dial the carrier number, dial 0, dial the country code, area code and telephone number

There are different internet centers and cybercafes.

Post Office

Correos de Chile is the main post company in the country and one of the best mailing services in the world. The service sends cards, letters and packages up to 30 kilograms. Local deliveries arrive in about a day, while international deliveries arrive in two-weeks time, depending on the country you're sending the package to.
