Weather

Chile is a long country with different regions, and each one of them has a particular climate. The interior and in areas of altitude, the temperature changes considerably in daytime and night.

Summer begins in December and ends in mid-March, with high temperatures, warm weather and no precipitations.

Winter, on the other hand, begins in May and ends in September, with temperatures that fluctuate between below zero and 15C. Some years are very rainy, covering the entire country; however, you can expect rain every year from Talca to the south of Chile.

The climates found in the country are:

I, II & XV Desertic weather, with uniform temperatures in the shore.
III Desertic weather. The temperature oscillates between day and nighttime, but remain uniform in the shore.
IV Semiarid.
V Mediterraneo weather (in the coast and interior).
RM Mediterraneo weather.
VI & VII Moderate mediterraneo weather
VIII Moderate weather.
IX  
X Rainy moderate weather.
XI Cold weather
XII Cold moderate rainy weather, without a dry season in the islands.
Antarctic Cold weather.
