Itinerary

Day 01: Calama Airport – Moon Valley – San Pedro de Atacama
Arrival at Calama Airport and transfer to San Pedro de Atacama.
In the afternoon, departure from the hotel to Moon Valley (3:30 PM in summer and 2:30 PM in winter, subject to confirmation). If you visit San Pedro de Atacama, you cannot miss this unique place. Located in the heart of the Salt Mountain Range, Moon Valley features a breathtaking landscape of salt and clay sculpted by water and wind over millions of years.
During the excursion, we will visit Las Tres Marías, The Canyon, The Great Dune, and The Amphitheater, where the extraordinary rock formations inspire both imagination and reflection in a peaceful setting.
At sunset, we will head to Kari Viewpoint (Coyote Stone), one of the best panoramic viewpoints overlooking Moon Valley, where you will enjoy an unforgettable sunset as the changing colors create a spectacular end to the day.

Day 02: San Pedro de Atacama – Cejar Lagoon Tour – Astronomical Tour

In the afternoon, between 2:00 PM and 2:40 PM, embark on an unforgettable experience in the heart of the Atacama Desert with our exclusive tour to Cejar Lagoon, Tebinquinche Lagoon, and Ojos del Salar. This excursion takes you through stunning landscapes where natural beauty blends with the serenity of the surroundings.
Departure from San Pedro de Atacama: We begin with a scenic drive toward these spectacular lagoons, surrounded by majestic mountains and the vast Atacama Salt Flat.
Cejar Lagoon: Experience the unique sensation of effortlessly floating in the highly saline waters of this magical lagoon. The remarkable salinity allows you to float naturally while enjoying the striking contrast of colors in the surrounding landscape.
Ojos del Salar: Next, we visit the Ojos del Salar, two crystal-clear freshwater pools set within a surreal desert landscape. Here you will have time to relax, swim, and admire the uniqueness of this extraordinary place.
Tebinquinche Lagoon: We conclude the tour at Tebinquinche Lagoon, where you can admire its turquoise hues and spectacular salt formations. As the sun sets, the landscape transforms into a breathtaking palette of colors, creating a truly magical atmosphere.

At approximately 9:00 PM, we will head to the outskirts of San Pedro de Atacama for an extraordinary stargazing experience. Using high-end computerized and manual telescopes, we will observe deep-sky objects including planets, open and globular star clusters, galaxies, and stars.
You will also learn to identify the visible constellations of the Southern Hemisphere with the help of a laser pointer. An expert guide will introduce you to Andean archaeoastronomy, explaining how the ancient peoples of South America connected the cosmos with the geography and culture of the Atacama region.

Day 03: Puritama Hot Springs

Between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM, departure to Puritama Hot Springs. Located 30 km northeast of San Pedro de Atacama, the Puritama River originates high in the Andes, where its waters are naturally heated by nearby volcanic activity before emerging at the surface.
The area has been equipped with essential visitor facilities and wooden terraces surrounding each thermal pool. Here, nature offers the perfect setting to relax and enjoy a soothing bath in mineral-rich waters that reach temperatures of approximately 33°C (91°F). Known for their therapeutic properties, these hot springs are a must-see during your visit.

Day 04: Red Stones, Altiplanic Lagoons & Atacama Salt Flat

Tour departure: 6:00 AM – 6:40 AM.
This full-day excursion begins with a visit to Red Stones (Piedras Rojas), located in the Tara Salt Flat, where the striking reddish landscape stands out thanks to its remarkable geological formation created by the oxidation of iron.
We then continue into the Altiplano to visit the beautiful Miscanti and Miñiques Lagoons, located at more than 4,200 meters (13,780 ft) above sea level. Surrounded by towering volcanoes formed during the uplift of the Andes, these lagoons are home to a variety of native birds and wildlife in their natural habitat.
Our journey continues to Chaxa Lagoon, a spectacular landscape composed of several shallow lagoons that provide habitat for large colonies of flamingos, as well as Andean and Chilean flamingos and many other bird species.
Before returning, while enjoying magnificent views of Licancabur and Lascar Volcanoes, we will visit the picturesque village of Toconao, renowned for its traditional colonial architecture, its bell tower, and San Lucas Church, Chile's first National Monument.

Day 05: Tatio Geysers – San Pedro de Atacama – Calama Airport – Santiago Airport – Santiago
Early morning departure from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama (5:30 AM departure; hotel pick-up at approximately 5:00 AM, subject to confirmation).
We travel to the spectacular Tatio Geysers, one of the world's largest geothermal fields. Arriving at sunrise, you will witness impressive columns of steam and boiling water set against the stunning backdrop of the Andes. In this extraordinary natural setting, a hearty breakfast will be served.
Afterward, we visit the Rustic Hot Spring Pool, where you may enjoy a relaxing bath in the naturally heated waters provided by the Andes.
On the return journey to San Pedro de Atacama, you will admire the breathtaking scenery, native flora, and wildlife. We will stop at a viewpoint overlooking the traditional village of Machuca, home to generations of llama herders.
Along the way, you may observe wildlife typical of the Putana River area, including vicuñas, llamas, rheas, vizcachas, flamingos, ducks, and gulls.

Day 08: Viña del Mar & Valparaíso Tour

Our journey begins in Valparaíso, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the "Jewel of the Pacific." This vibrant port city enchants visitors with its bohemian atmosphere, colorful hillsides, artistic murals, and historic funiculars, which have become iconic symbols of the city. We will explore its historic downtown, including Sotomayor Square, surrounded by beautiful heritage buildings showcasing strong European architectural influences.
We then continue to Viña del Mar, the elegant Garden City, renowned for its beautiful parks, gardens, and seaside charm. Here you will have time to photograph its most famous landmark, the Flower Clock, and enjoy a walk along the coastline, with the opportunity to reach the cool waters of the Pacific Ocean at one of its beautiful beaches.
The tour concludes with an exterior visit to the Fonck Museum, home to an authentic Moai statue from Easter Island, bringing to a close a day that perfectly combines history, culture, and breathtaking coastal scenery.

Day 09: Santiago Airport – Puerto Natales Airport – Puerto Natales

Day 10: Full-Day Torres del Paine National Park & Milodon Cave Tour

Torres del Paine National Park is world-renowned for the majestic granite peaks that give the park its name, sculpted over millions of years by glacial ice.
The excursion begins with a visit to the Milodon Cave Natural Monument, a remarkable cave stretching over 200 meters (656 ft) in length, located approximately 25 km (16 miles) from Puerto Natales.
We continue to Cerro Castillo, where we will make a short stop at a local café before heading toward Torres del Paine National Park, crossing traditional Patagonian ranches and breathtaking landscapes. Along the way, you may spot native wildlife such as rheas (ñandúes) and guanacos, one of Patagonia's iconic wild camelids.
Upon entering the park, you will discover vividly colored lakes, glacier-covered mountains, and abundant native wildlife. We will then enjoy a short 20-minute walk to Salto Grande, an impressive waterfall on the Paine River.
After lunch, we continue to Grey Lake, where you will take a walk to a panoramic viewpoint overlooking floating icebergs and the magnificent Grey Glacier.
The return journey to Puerto Natales follows the same route or, depending on conditions, a scenic road bordering Toro, Porteño, and Sofía Lakes.

Day 11: Grey Glacier Navigation

Enjoy one of the must-do experiences in Torres del Paine National Park: a scenic cruise to Grey Glacier.
This approximately 3-hour navigation takes place aboard the Grey III catamaran, offering spectacular views of floating icebergs, lush vegetation, and the dramatic mountains surrounding Grey Lake.
Your day begins with pick-up from your accommodation in Puerto Natales. The drive to Serrano Ranger Station takes approximately two hours, where you will complete the entrance procedures for Torres del Paine National Park.
From there, you will continue to Hotel Lago Grey, where you will check in for the navigation before boarding the catamaran.
Following the cruise, the excursion concludes back at the pier, after which you will return to the parking area at Hotel Lago Grey and travel back to Puerto Natales.

Day 12: Optional Tour from Puerto Natales

Option 1: Full-Day Perito Moreno Glacier
Departure: 6:15 AM
The Perito Moreno Glacier offers an unforgettable spectacle of sights and sounds. Ice calving occurs continuously, making it very likely that you will witness enormous blocks of ice breaking away from the glacier—a truly extraordinary natural phenomenon.
What makes Perito Moreno unique is not only its impressive 30-kilometer (19-mile) length and easy accessibility, but also the fact that it is one of the few glaciers in the world that is still advancing, while most glaciers worldwide are retreating.
The network of walkways, balconies, and panoramic viewpoints within the national park allows visitors of all ages, including those with reduced mobility, to enjoy spectacular views of the glacier safely and comfortably.
The excursion concludes with the return to Puerto Natales along the same route.
Important: If you choose this excursion, you must carry your valid travel documents, as the tour crosses the Chile–Argentina border and requires customs and immigration procedures.
Option 2: Base Torres Trek
Departure: 6:30 AM – 7:00 AM
After a 2-hour drive from Puerto Natales, we arrive at Hotel Las Torres, where your guide will provide a safety briefing and important recommendations before beginning the hike.
The adventure starts by crossing the Asencio River Bridge, followed by a steady ascent. After several hours of hiking, we reach Camping El Chileno, where the group regroups, enjoys a snack, and takes in the beautiful lenga forest surrounding the trail.
We then continue across several mountain streams flowing down from Mount Almirante Nieto. As the trail becomes steeper, we gradually climb to an elevation of 870 meters (2,854 ft) until reaching the iconic Base Torres Viewpoint.
Here you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the turquoise glacial lake lying at the foot of the three majestic granite towers that have made Torres del Paine famous around the world. This is the perfect place to rest, enjoy lunch, and regain your energy.
Weather permitting, there will be numerous opportunities throughout the hike to capture spectacular photographs of Mount Almirante Nieto, Base Torres, the ancient lenga forests, and many of the park's most iconic landscapes.
After enjoying the viewpoint, we descend along the same trail back to our vehicle, which will be waiting at the starting point, before returning to Puerto Natales.
Difficulty: Moderate to challenging. A good level of physical fitness and overall health is required.
