Itinerary
Day 01: Santiago Airport - Santiago - City tour Santiago
Reception at the Santiago Airport and transfer to your hotel.
City tour in Santiago
Visiting the main tourist attractions.
Santiago is a mixture between the old and the modern, features that we invite you to know. Our tour through Santiago will show the immensity of the city, its varied geography and civility. We will guide you through the Main Square of Santiago, where the Cathedral, Main Post Office and City Hall are located. You will be told about the origins of our city. Next stop is the civic neighborhood and the surroundings of La Moneda Government Palace. After that we will be driven through some of the old neighborhoods of Santiago, such as República and Concha y Toro neighborhoods. Later we will visit the eastern part of the city and we will see the modern buildings and the changes that they have brought to the neighborhood. We finish our tour in a handicraft store, located in an exclusive neighborhood, where we'll appreciate Lapizlázuli masterpieces, made with this stone that just exists in Chile and Afghanistan.
Return to hotel and lodging.
Day 02: Santiago - Valparaíso - Viña del Mar
We begin the route from your hotel, in a trip of 120 kilometers to the Pacific Ocean with a brief stop at the Veramonte Vineyard.
Our "Garden city", Viña del Mar, will charm us with its architecture, its streets, palaces, and Quinta Vergara. We ´ll have the possibility to know a Moai from Easter Island and a handcraft store of lapizlasuli (Faba). We'll drive the coastal border and visit the port city of Valparaiso which goes back to 1536. The city was declared World Heritage by Unesco and it´s currently the site of the legislative power of Chile. It´s a magical place of unique and unforgettable landscapes with colorful neighborhoods and picturesque funicular elevators. We fishish our visit at the Sotomayor Square and the port, where we can navigate through Valparaiso. Return to your hotel in Santiago.
Day 03: Santiago - Santiago Airport – Calama - Moon Valley - San Pedro de Atacama
Breakfast. Transfer to Santiago Airport to take the flight to Calama. Reception and transfer to San Pedro de Atacama. At 03:30 pm, departure from the hotel to The Moon Valley. In the way joining San Pedro with Calama, we will stop to take photos of the Salt Mountain Range from a viewing point. Later, in the Moon Valley, we will visit the “Las Tres Marías” salt statues, the salt mine, the salt caverns and we will watch the evening from a big sand dune. Return to the hotel. Lodging.
Day 04: San Pedro de Atacama - Altiplanic Lagoons - Atacama Salt Flat - San Pedro de Atacama
Departure at 08:30 am from the hotel. Visit to the Toconao town, typical handicrafts in Atacama, also the San Lucas Tower (National Monument). The travel includes the visit to the Atacama Salt Flat, entering the Los Flamencos National Reserve (Chaxas Lagoon area). We will continue our trip to the altiplano to get to the Miscanti and Miñiques lagoons (4,150 m.o.s.l.). In the middle of our route we will have a stop in the Socaire town (3,200 m.o.s.l.) to get acclimatized and take photos of the San Bartolomé church. Return to San Pedro at 7:00 pm approximately.
Day 05: San Pedro de Atacama - Archaeological Tour - San Pedro de Atacama
Breakfast at the hotel. At 09:00 hrs. we will depart to visit the Pukará de Quitor, the Salt Mountain Range (Cordillera de la Sal) and the Catarpe (Incas) ruins. Arrival in the 3,000 years old Tulor ruins. Return to San Pedro through the Séquitor Ayllu. Return to the hotel at 1:00 pm. Afternoon at leisure. Lodging.
Day 06: San Pedro de Atacama - Tatio Geysers and Towns
Departure at 5:30 am from the hotel. Breakfast and trekking to the different geysers and thermal swimming pool. Visit to the Caspana Town (old town and church), the Lasana Pukará, and the petroglyphics in the Loa River valley, the Coya Inca lagoon and the church in Chiu-Chiu town. Return to San Pedro de Atacama. Afternoon at leisure. Accommodation.
Day 07: San Pedro de Atacama - Calama Airport
Breakfast. Transfer to the Airport in Calama. Flight to Santiago. Accommodation in a hotel in the Airport.
Day 08: Santiago Airport - Mataveri Airport – Hanga Roa (Easter Island) – Ahu Akivi (Seven Explorers)
Arrival in the Easter Island Airport. Reception in the Airport with flower necklace and transfer to your selected hotel.
Our tour starts at 3:00 pm approximately from Hanga Roa to Ahu Akivi, the first restored Ahu by science in the Island in 1960. This Ahu with 7 Moai Statues is one of the few in the center of the Island, with its statues facing the rising sun. Reportedly, they represent the 7 explorers sent before the arrival of Hotu Matua to get to know the Island.
Then, we will visit the Puna Pau quarry, in a small crater of red scoria. Here the Pukao or headdress of the Moai were obtained. There are still some unfinished and abandoned pukaos. And we will finish at the Ahu Huri a Urenga, where we will find the four-arm Moai so-called the astronomer because is aligned with the southern winter solstice (June 21)
Return to Hanga Roa.

Day 09: Easter Island – The Hotu Matua Route: Ahu Akahanga – Tongariki – Rano Raraku Volcano – Anakena Beach
Departing from Hanga Roa's town at about 9:00 am, going to Ahu Akahanga, so- called the "Platform of the king". The legend tells that Hotu Matua'a's tomb is near this place. There, we will find 4 platforms, 12 Moai statues, 8 Pukao and towards the interior of this Ahu; it is possible to see the best-preserved village of the island.
Later, we will go to Ahu Tongariki, with 15 Moai being the largest Ahu of the island. After that, we will meet Ahu Te Pito Kura, which possesses the highest statue of the island raised in an Ahu, the Moai Paro (10 meters of height and 85 tons with a Pukao of 11,5 tons). Near this ceremonial temple is the great spherical stone that is identified as the Center of the World (Te Pito o Te Henua), as the legend tells, it was brought to the island by Hotu Matua'a in his craft.
After that, we will arrive in Ahu Nau Nau, temple of a complex construction due to its different levels where we will find 5 Moai statues with Pukao. There, we will see petroglyphs in the backs of the statues. We will continue our excursion to the Rano Raraku volcano and quarry, where there was carved most of the Moai of the island, using the volcanic rock of its hillsides. There are an estimated number of 400 Moai in several stages of carved. Finishing our adventure, we will go to the Anakena Beach. It is a beach of white sands chosen for the arrival of the Ariki Hotu Matua'a and his sister Avareipua. Anakena is the name of a small cave in an adjacent gully.
Return to the town of Hanga Roa, total duration 8 hours.

Day 10: Easter Island – Orongo Ceremonial Village
Breakfast in our hotel in Easter Island.
We start our tour at 09:00 am from Hanga Roa heading to the Ana Kai Tangata natural cave where it is possible to appreciate some rupestrian art representing birds such as the manutara, and where it is possible to watch waves breaking upon the cliff. We will continue our tour by visiting the Rano Kau volcano where we will be able to see the largest crater on the Island and one of the largest sweet water reservation of the area. Finally, we will visit the Orongo Ceremonial Village, old and magnificent ceremonial city located in the western side of the Rano Kau volcano. It features 53 elliptical houses made of sandstone and a small square window looking to the sea. In this place, the most important ceremony of the second period of Easter Island was carried out: the election of the Tangata Manu (Bird-Man), this ceremony stopped being performed 150 years ago, due to the arrival of the first Christian missioners.
At 01:00 pm approximately, we will return to the village.

Day 11: Easter Island – Mataveri Airport – Santiago Airport - Santiago
Breakfast at the hotel in Easter Island.
At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport and typical farewell. Reception in the Santiago Airport, transfer to your hotel. Accommodation.
Day 12: Santiago – Santiago Airport – Punta Arenas Airport – Puerto Natales
Reception at Punta Arenas airport (we recommend taking the first flight to reach Punta Arenas before 12:00 pm) free time, lunch on behalf of passengers. Transfer to bus terminal to take bus towards the city of Puerto Natales (03:15 hours trip). Arrival in the city, transfer to hotel, accommodation and lodging.
Day 13: Puerto Natales - Torres del Paine National Park.
Breakfast. At 07:30 am departure from your hotel to begin the full-day excursion that will take us first to the imposing Monumento Natural Cueva del Milodon, and later, the Torres del Paine National Park, where the welcome is a beautiful panoramic view of the Paine Mountain Range. In addition, we will admire lakes as Sarmiento, Nordenskjold and Pehoe. Its rich fauna will be through guanacos and foxes, among others, besides a large number of birds readily observable during the trip. A short walk will take us to the "Salto Grande" a mighty waterfall, part of the hydrographic network of the park. Then, returning to the main road accessing the administrative headquarters of CONAF to continue to the "Lago Gray" where after a short trek (30 minutes) in the middle of a forest millennial came to the beach where you can admire a large number of icebergs derived from the glacier. A lunch box lunch is included in the service. At 7:00 pm provides approximately the arrival to Puerto Natales. Accommodation.
Day 14: Perito Moreno Glacier - Calafate. (Exhausting day)
Breakfast. At approximately 06:30 am with regular bus connections from Puerto Natales. This will be a long day and will take a 5-hour trip (360 kms) to get to Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina. Not always crossing Chile to Argentina means crossing the Andes. In our case, in Patagonia, the Andes Mountain Range is part of the Patagonian Archipelago. Thus, after crossing the border line, the landscape will be the vast and windy Patagonian steppe.
During the tour, it will be possible to see in the distance the Argentino Lake and the Santa Cruz River going to the Atlantic Ocean. After our arrival in Calafate, we will have a short period at disposal. Then we will continue another 80 kms until we get the park to start the excursion to the Perito Moreno Glacier, unique glacier growing in the world. We will access the walkway where by several stairs joining different viewpoints, this ice giant can be seen. The return will be through the same way with 1 hour to visit the city of Calafate. At approximately 10:30 pm return to Puerto Natales city. Lodging.

Day 15: Puerto Natales – Sailing to Glaciers. (21 de Mayo ship)
Breakfast. At 7:30 am transfer from your hotel to local pier. At 08:00 am departure in a sailing excursion to Balmaceda Glacier and Serrano Glacier. This sailing lasts about 4 hours to Bernardo O'Higgins National Park. During the trip we will be able to observe the first local cattle ranches, cormorants and sea lion colonies, beech forests waterfalls and cliffs, the perfect home of majestic Condor. Once in the park we will get to Monte Balmaceda that show us, from its eastern slope, the glacier of the same name. Later we will approach land on Puerto Toro docking area, from where we will start a short trek to Serrano Glacier crossing a native forest and the lake's shore. Box lunch included. At approximately 5:00 pm return to Puerto Natales to take the regular bus who will get us back to the city of Punta Arenas. Transportation to hotel. Lodging.
Day 16: Punta Arenas – Punta Arenas Airport – Puerto Montt Airport – Puerto Varas
Breakfast. At time to confirm transportation to the airport in Punta Arenas.
Reception at the El Tepual airport in Puerto Montt to go to the hotel in Puerto Varas. Day at leisure. Accommodation.
Day 17: Puerto Varas - Chiloé - Castro - Dalcahue
Due to climatic conditions of the zone during the winter, this tour is made different ways depending on the period of the year. We invite you to know the region of Chiloé, Castro and Dalcahue. This tour allows us to visit the northern part of the Chiloé Island. After a 30-minute trip by ferry, watching a wide variety of birds, we will get to the small village of Cucao, visiting the Main Square and the church. We will continue to Dalcahue, where we will stop at the coast area for a walk and a visit to the Handicraft Market, Museum and church, with time to luch. By the promenade, we will head to Castro. We will visit the Gamboa River Palafitos (typical stilt houses), the Main Square and the church. Later, we will go to the last church of our tour in a village called Nercón. Return to the hotel in Puerto Varas. Accommodation.
Day 18: Puerto Varas - Petrohué - Peulla
Sail through the owe-inspiring Todos los Santos Lake, visiting the worldwide famous Petrohué River Falls, and Peulla, a small ecological village with 120 inhabitants which is part of the well-known Andean Crossing. After visiting the Petrohué River Falls, we sail through the Todos los Santos Lake for about two hours, watching the Osorno, Calbuco, Puntiagudo and Tronador volcanoes. In Peulla, you cannot miss the opportunity to take part of some excursions such as canopy, horseback riding, fishing, jetboat, 4x4 safari offered in this natural paradise. These excursions have to be booked during sailing. Return to Puerto Varas. Accommodation.
Day 19: Puerto Varas – Puerto Montt - Puerto Montt Airport
Breakfast in Hotel. Transfer to Airport in Puerto Montt.
