Itinerary

Day 01: Santiago Airport - Santiago - City tour Santiago

Reception at the Santiago Airport and transfer to your hotel.

City tour in Santiago visiting the main tourist attractive.
Santiago is a mixture between the old and the modern, features that we invite you to know. Our tour through Santiago will show the immensity of the city, its varied geography and civility. We will guide you through the Main Square of Santiago, where the Cathedral, Main Post Office and City Hall are located. You will be told about the origins of our city. Next stop is the civic neighborhood and the surroundings of La Moneda Government Palace. After that we will be driven through some of the old neighborhoods of Santiago, such as República and Concha y Toro neighborhoods. Later we will visit the eastern part of the city and we will see the modern buildings and the changes that they have brought to the neighborhood. We finish our tour in a handicraft store, located in an exclusive neighborhood, where we'll appreciate Lapizlazuli masterpieces, made with this stone that just exists in Chile and Afghanistan.

Return to hotel and lodging.

Day 02: Santiago – Santiago Airport - Balmaceda - Puerto Chacabuco

Reception at the Balmaceda Airport and transfer to Hotel Loberías del Sur, located in Puerto Chacabuco. To get there you will cross part of the Carretera Austral (Southern Road), which goes through Llanquihue and Palena provinces, on the side of the continent, up to Aysén region, passing by the beautiful city of Coyhaique. On the ride to the hotel, you will have the opportunity to appreciate a small sample of this astonishing landscape that makes part of these latitudes, as we will cross the Andes Mountain Range through the Chilean Patagonia.
Arrival in the Loberías del Sur Hotel featuring the beautiful bay of Puerto Chacabuco as background. You will stay three nights in the hotel.
At nightfall a Welcome Dinner will be offered in the hotel, including appetizers, main course, dessert and coffee.

Day 03: San Rafael Lagoon

We will take part of an unforgettable trip on board of the Chaitén catamaran that will take you across islands, channels, and fiords inside unimaginable scenery until reaching the marvelous San Rafael Lagoon. The main tour attraction is the peacefulness of this lagoon with a surface of 170 square kilometers, floes and snowdrifts letting old-age ice rocks fall down constantly and thunderously. Then on board of a zodiac (if weather conditions allow) you will get closer to San Rafael snowdrift and a number of floes moving around. Upon the end of the excursion, you will taste a whisky on the rocks made with cubes of ice being more than 20,000 years old. You will stay there for 2 - 3 hours and then will go back to Puerto Chacabuco. Back to the hotel, you will enjoy a refreshing dinner. Accommodation.

Day 04: Puerto Chacabuco - Aikén del Sur Private Park

In the morning a bus will take us from the Loberías del Sur Hotel to the Aiken del Sur Private Park across a landscape of unique beauty in Patagonia. You will start there an excursion combining adventure, close contact with Patagonian virgin nature and emotion.
The Aiken del Sur Park offers natural beauties such as the area on the shore of the Riesco Lake. This lake has a surface of 14 km2, quiet and blue crystal-clear waters. Enjoy a 22-meter waterfall, native woodlands with perennial species, annual plants, humid species such as a ferns, some of them first found in Chile, moss and liverworts; widespread prairies where aged myrtles and tepa trees as chilco and calafate mix together; taro and mallin plants; swamp lands.
Later, at the agreed time, we will return to the hotel for relaxing after a long day full of unforgettable experiences and adventures.
At nightfall, you can taste a pleasant dinner, which is a proper opportunity for talking about the day's adventures.

Day 05: Queulat National Park

After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart in order to visit the Queulat National Park. With a surface of 150,000 kms2, Queulat National Park features a temperate rainforest weather, two icefields and seven glaciers. Its mountains sink in the sea and eight beautiful rivers cross the land. Its fauna offers whales, sea birds in the Queulat Fjord and thermal activities.
Return to Puerto Chacabuco, dinner and accommodation.

Day 06: Puerto Chacabuco – Balmaceda Airport – Santiago Airport - Santiago

After a well-deserved night of relax, and a breakfast, we will be transferred to the Balmaceda Airport. Flight to Santiago. Transfer to your hotel in Santiago. Accommodation.

Day 07: Santiago – Santiago Airport - Punta Arenas - Puerto Natales.
Reception at the Punta Arenas Airport (we recommend you take the first flight to Punta Arenas, arriving before 12:00 pm) Transfer to the city, time at leisure (lunch on behalf of passengers). At 04:00 pm city tour and visit to a museum, after that, transfer to the local terminal to take the regular bus heading the city of Puerto Natales. Length: 03:15 hrs. Arrive in the city. Transfer from terminal to hotel, accommodation.

Day 08: Puerto Natales - Torres del Paine National Park.
Breakfast. At 07:30 am approximately we will depart from the hotel in order to start the full-day excursion that will drive us to the stunning Milodon Cave Natural Monument and later to the Torres del Paine National Park, with overwhelming views of its mountains and lakes such as Sarmiento, Nordenskjold, and Pehoé. Its rich fauna will be present through "guanacos” and "foxes", among others, including several birds we will easily be able to watch during the trip. A short trek will take us to the Salto Grande, a great waterfall flowing from the rivers of the park. Then, returning to the main road, we will access the administrative headquarters of CONAF to continue to the Grey Lake where after a 30-minute walk through a thousand-years forest, we will get to its beach a place to admire big pieces of icebergs coming from the glacier. A box lunch is included in the service. At 07:30 pm we will return to the hotel in Puerto Natales. Lodging. 

Day 09: Puerto Natales – Balmaceda and Serrano Glacier - Punta Arenas. (21 de Mayo Embarkation)
Breakfast. Departure from the hotel to a local pier in order to start our sailing to the Balmaceda Glacier and Serrano Glacier. This sailing lasts about 4 hours to the Bernardo O´Higgins National Park. During the trip, we will be able to watch the first local cattle ranches, cormorants and sea lions, colonies, beech forests, waterfalls and cliffs, the perfect home for the majestic condor. Later, we will approach land on "Puerto Toro" docking area, from where we will start a short trek to the Serrano Glacier, crossing a native forest and the lake's shore. Lunch in Estancia Perales or box lunch. At 05:30 pm approx. we will return to Puerto Natales. At the agreed time, transfer to take the regular bus heading to Punta Arenas, in a 3:15-hour trip. Reception at terminal and transfer to the hotel.

Day 10: Punta Arenas – Punta Arenas Airport

At the agreed time, transfer to the Punta Arenas Airport.
